ADDING LIQUIDS TO PELLETS AND CRUMBS
The unique feature of the prayer is the control of the droplet size of the sprayed liquid. This is achieved by putting the liquid on a rapidly rotating disk, and creates droplets by means of centrifugal forces to atomize. The advantage of this technique is that all the droplets are of equal size. The importance of this is easy to understand when realizing that a droplet with a 10-fold diameter have the 1000-fold volume. Through the appropriate diameter and rotation speed of the disc, droplets are generated big enough not to drift away and small enough to obtain a maximize dispersion.

The spray system consists of three spray discs, one above the other, mounted under a conical cap. This assembly is placed in a downstream of pellets, the pellets slide over the cone and forms a hollow cylindrical curtain. Within this curtain, the liquid droplets are projected onto the pellets. Due to this arrangement, the liquid is sprayed over a very large granule surface and a very homogeneous distribution of the liquid over the pellets is obtained.

Due to the combination of the dust in the pellets and the addition of higher amounts of liquids, deposit is formed in the outlet funnel at the height of the spray pattern. In order to avoid this, a continuous automatic cleaning system is applied. The outlet funnel (spray cylinder) is rotating and a scraper removes continuously any deposit. The spray cylinder is driven by a motor-reductor with belt transmission. The scraper is made of spring steel and attached to the side wall of the housing.
EXCELLENT DISPERSION OF THE LIQUID ONTO THE PELLETS: Thanks to this unique spray system with three spray discs, one above the other, a very homogeneous distribution of the liquid on the pellets is obtained, even with very small quantities without dilution with water (pure liquid). Spray pattern is independent of the liquid flow rate.
PRECISE DOSING OF THE LIQUID: With the aid of a weighing belt, to measure the pellet capacity (dynamic weighing), and a mass flow meter for measuring the liquid flow, a very precise liquid addition is obtained.
